Temporary filling
The purpose of the temporary filling is either to isolate a dentinal wound so as to preserve the vitality of the dentinopulpal organ when the therapeutic act is not carried out in one session, or to avoid contamination of the coronoradicular cavity. insofar as endodontic treatment requires intermediate phases (disinfection, inflammatory oozing or apical hemorrhage preventing any definitive root filling). It is therefore necessary to consider two scenarios: the temporary filling on a living tooth, and the temporary filling during endodontic treatment.
